This paper details the results of a large-scale multi-disciplinary analysis of Iron Age pottery from a settlement in the core of the Phoenician homeland. The research presented is centred upon a large corpus of Phoenician carinated-shoulder amphorae (CSA) from the later Iron Age II and Persian period contexts at the coastal site of Tell el-Burak. Traditional typological investigations are combined with a focused archaeometric approach including a new quantitative method for the morphometric analysis of amphorae, thin-section petrography, geochemistry and organic residue analyses, aimed at gaining a more detailed understanding of the organization of the Phoenician economy. This chapter sets out an approach to professional development and team building in a newly established faculty in a Finnish university. A method is given for mapping the academic and professional experiences of eight faculty members across disciplinary boundaries to arrive at a cross-disciplinary framework for collaborative research in multi- and intercultural education. En el presente trabajo se aborda la embriaguez y la toxicomanía como causas de despi¬do improcedente en el Estatuto de los Trabajadores. A tal efecto se analizan las conduc¬tas básicas que dan pie a tal despido, los requisitos necesarios para que se produzca y la prueba de su incumplimiento. También se realiza una referencia a dichas causas de despido en los Convenios Colectivos.

This paper analyses the issues related to sports disciplinary sanctions, as part of the wider issue concerning the autonomy of sport, which is stillunder debate. The author examines in depth the disciplinary action fundamentals and points out the main case law (about the above-mentioned autonomy), as well as the conditions required in order to be refunded, when disciplinary sanctions are concretely applied. At the conclusion, the author confirms the autonomy of sport being a mere effect of the privates': it can not be considered as an autonomous legal system. Therefore, the ligitamacy of the final verdict can surely be verified by ordinary Courts.

The essay stems from the current efforts in defining the rules applicable to the alleged 'vitalizi impropri'. The aims are to distance from dogmas and conceptual classifications that are blind to the concrete interests at stake and, as consequence, to debunk some common fallacies (i.e., the utility of traditional theories about mixed contracts; the idea of fungibility, periodicity and hazard as essential parts of typical life annuity).

La práctica de la confesión auricular representó uno de los instrumentos más relevantes de la acción de disciplinamiento social ejercida por la Iglesia católica a lo largo de la Edad Moderna. A través del análisis de algunos manuales de confesores de los siglos XVI y XVII, este artículo se propone un doble objetivo: por un lado poner de relieve la importancia de dichos manuales para la formación del clero, por otro ofrecer una visión general del papel que los confesores tuvieron a la hora de disciplinar las conductas sociales e individuales de los fieles.

Obgleich das Thema „personelle Unternehmensverflechtungen über den Aufsichtsrat“ re-gelmäßig im Fokus öffentlicher Diskussionen steht – wobei in der Regel eine negative Wirkung der Mandatekumulation auf die Kontrolleffizienz des Überwachungsgremiums und damit letztlich auf die Unternehmensperformance unterstellt wird –, zeigt eine Analyse der empirischen Litera-tur, dass insbesondere in Kontinentaleuropa eine klare Schlussfolgerung hinsichtlich der Wirkung von Mehrfachmandaten auf die Wertschöpfung für die Aktionäre nicht möglich ist.
